No, it isn’t a picture of Paula and Karen….This hilarious canvas is by Needle Deeva and we are so excited to have Janet Perry here to teach this class!  The stitch guide is full of great stitches and threads, as well as embellishments to add the finishing touch to the project.  Janet is a well-known stitch guide designer and teacher from California.  She will be in our shop on Saturday, April 5 to teach this to you before she teaches the same class to shop owners at the needlepoint market in Dallas on April 6.  Janet has recently published a fabulous book entitled Needlepoint Trade Secrets and she will have those available and will autograph copies purchased while she is here.

Bargello is coming back strong in Needlepoint.  Janet has a new book entitled Bargello Revisited that will be published in June.  If you are interested in learning more about Bargello, call and let us know.  If we have enough interest, Janet will also teach a Bargello class on April 5.
 

NEW CANVASES - We are still receiving new canvases daily and the Dallas Cash-and-Carry market is April 6 and 7.  Come in beginning April 8 and see what we brought home from Dallas!
 

BEYOND BASKETWEAVE- We have finally scheduled the next session of Beyond Basketweave.  Classes will be held on April  17 and 26.  Call or come in and choose your colors and the mesh size of your canvas.  The canvas is handpainted so we need a little lead time.  This is such a great class for those who have conquered basketweave and are ready to move to the next level.  
 

WHIMSY AND GRACE TRUNK SHOWS - Whimsy and Grace will be sending us a series of mini Trunk Shows throughout the year.  These will have small pieces in them that will be great grab-and-go projects.  Be sure to look while you are here!  Our first mini trunk show is here and has napkin rings and luggage tags.  The luggage tags would be a  great graduation gift and both could easily be completed over a weekend!
 

KIDS CLASSES - Would you like to have a class for your kids?  Just call and we can arrange a day for a fun project designed for specific age groups.  We need at least four kids to make the class so call friends also.
 

BEGINNING BASKETWEAVE - Classes in Beginning Basketweave are always available at your convenience.  Just call and we can schedule your two hour class according to your schedule.  

Do you want some advanced class time?  You can schedule time to come in and learn some new stitches.  Just call the shop or email us.
 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT STITCHERS - After a short hiatus Wednesday Night Stitchers is going strong again.   Every Wednesday evening we are open until 7 pm for stitching time and any additional help that someone might need.  A $5 fee covers refreshments.  Come in and meet some new best friends!  
 

MELISSA SHIRLEY BIRDS - These six elegant birds by Melissa Shirley will be kitted monthly starting in  June.  Kits consist of a color photograph, full skeins of thread, kitted embellishments, and secrets learned while we stitched them. The stitch guide book by Cynthia Thomas will be sent with the first canvas. These are spectacular and so much fun to stitch.  Each bird is on 13mesh so no magnifiers needed!  Sign up now for one or all six!  (Photos of the other 2 birds coming soon)
 

Our AFTER CHRISTMAS SALE begins December 26th and runs through January 9th.  Special orders are included at the sale price.  Preorders will be accepted with a credit card and the item will be charged on or after the 26th.  Lights, books, stitch guides, custom painting, finishing, and most kits are not included in the sale. 

TO MARKET TO MARKET:  The largest needle arts market is in early January  and we will be there picking out new canvases and threads, scoping out new artists, and looking for handy new gadgets.  If you have a certain something that you are looking for, email us and we will try to find it for you! 

NOVEMBER SALE:  If you did not know about our canvas sale on November 3rd it is because we do not have a current email address for you.  Please send us an updated address and we will make sure you know about future internet specials and receive all e-mailings.

CLASSES:  We are in the process of putting together some great classes for late winter and early spring.  We will keep you apprised of dates as they become available. 

BEYOND BASKETWEAVE:  Introduction to eleven different stitches.  This class is perfect for stitchers who are ready to move on to something other than basketweave.  Class hours are 10:30 – 3:30 and will be held two times in late January on a Thursday and a Saturday.

FLOWERING PUMPKIN:  Carolyn Baird designed the stitch guide for this fabulous canvas.  She has limited availability so we are planning for her to come teach the class on a Sunday afternoon.  The price for this class is $375 and includes canvas, stitch guide, threads, and instruction.  A $100 deposit is required to hold your spot.  Sign up now because space is limited.  We hope to have the model in the shop soon.

SCARY APRIL:  Janet Perry from Napa Needlepoint will be teaching Needle Deeva’s new Halloween basket!  We are excited to have Janet here teaching our customers the same class she will be teaching shop owners at the Dallas needlepoint market.  This will be on a Saturday in April.  More information and photos coming soon.

STITCHING GROUP will resume on Wednesdays in February.  Come join us from 5-7p.m. to sit and stitch, get some help, or just visit.

NEW SERIES: We are in the process of stitching Melissa Shirley’s series of fancy birds.  These are truly wonderful and fun to stitch, and are on 13 mesh so everyone can enjoy stitching them!  The stitch guides are by Cynthia Thomas and include some challenging stitches, new techniques and fancy embellishments, however they are suitable for all levels of stitching prowess.  We will be kitting these so sign up now!
